JOHN MANLOVE | CASE STUDIES | WETT: WIND ENERGY TRANSMISSION TEXAS
Clarify
The goal was to create a complete corporate identity for a start up business that was created for one specific opportunity – laying wind energy transmission lines across Texas. In addition, the two parent companies was foreign, Canada and Spain, with great expertise and capabilities in laying of transmission lines but foreign non-the-less with no corporate office in Texas. The time period was extremely short and revolved around an immovable deadline that was driven by the Texas Legislature.
Brand
The brand was to have a clear West Texas feel and to be clearly identified with the clean wind energy. Texas landscapes and wind turbines were highlighted in all design. In addition the name WETT was chosen as acronym for Wind Energy Transmission of Texas because it is easily remembered. The type styles chosen was a clean sans-serif and the color palette chosen was tan, rust, light green and blue.
Reach
The first and central part of the campaign revolved around the website. We purchased url’s and immediately hosted and launched the website. In addition we put in place a content management program and project management program so each corporate inanity could make changes seamlessly and continuously across various time zones. A brochure was created using the content and graphics from the existing website, for distribution among key decision makers and stakeholders. Since the campaign included a road show in various cities across Texas shirts, hats and pins were designed and printed for the participants. The campaign also involved creating large graphic displays to demonstrate the scope of the project for presentations.
Results
The result was the creation of a complete company identity within a few short months. WETT went on to win a $500,000,000 contract and now offices in Austin Texas.
